Update Your W4 Withholding
Your federal income tax allowances (Form W-4) can be updated through your WorkforceHub Employee Portal. If you were originally onboarded through WorkforceHub, you will find the process similar to how you filled out the form there. The link to update your W4 is found under the Payroll Tasks section of your profile menu.
 | State withholding cannot be updated through WorkforceHub. Employees can set their state withholding during Onboarding, but if you need to make changes after that, you need to coordinate it with your HR Administrator. |
Updating your W4 is split into two stages. In the first stage, you fill out the form and apply your electronic signature. If you need help determining the correct amount of withholding, there are links to the IRS Estimator on the right-side and bottom of the page.
WorkforceHub fills in your W4 using the data entered on this page. If you would like to see a blank version of the actual form, click the link under VIEW THE FORM.
Once you've completed the withholding fields, click SAVE & CONTINUE under your signature to move to the second stage. Your changes to this point will be saved, and you can leave the page and return to complete the process later. If you choose to complete the process later, the task shows up in your TODO LIST on the HR tab.
The second stage of the update process contains a summary of your W4 settings. You can also download a filled-in copy of your Form W-4 with the pdf link in the center of the page.
To complete the update, check the authorization box and click COMPLETE. The form is now saved in MY FILING CABINET, which is found under the HR tab.
Administrator Approval
Changes to your federal withholding are not immediate. Once you've submitted your W4 update, it may require administrator approval before being sent to payroll. Check with your HR Administrator to see how far in advance you should submit your change prior to payroll.
Cancel Task or Start Over
Once you start this process by selecting Update your federal tax allowances from your WorkforceHub profile menu, it's added as a Task within your HR tab. It remains as a task until you complete both stages of the update. However, if you decide you do not want to update your W4 and wish to remove the task entirely, just click REMOVE THIS TASK, found on the right-side of the update page. If you simply want to return to the first page and make some changes to your withholding form, click I NEED TO START OVER.
